On 11 December 2025, the Enock Mathebula
Foundation (EMF) successfully hosted a food parcel handover for child-headed
homes as part of its Community Outreach pillar. The event took place at Borwa
Lifestyle Centre and was made possible through a valued partnership with
Foskor, whose support played a critical role in bringing relief to vulnerable
families.
A total of 40 child-headed homes benefited
from the initiative, receiving essential food parcels aimed at easing the
burden faced by young household heads during the festive season. The initiative
reflects EMF’s ongoing commitment to restoring dignity, providing care, and
offering practical support to communities in need.
EMF Chairman, Dr Enock Mathebula, expressed
heartfelt gratitude to Foskor for their continued partnership and commitment to
social upliftment. He emphasised that collaborations of this nature enable the
Foundation to reach those who need support the most and make a meaningful
difference in their lives.
“We are deeply grateful to our partners and
sponsors for walking this journey with us. Together, we are not only providing
food, but also hope and reassurance to children who carry immense
responsibility at a young age,” said Dr Mathebula.
The beneficiaries were also encouraged
through uplifting messages shared by Dr Pilusa, who spoke words of motivation,
resilience, and hope, reminding the children that their circumstances do not
define their future.
Adding a spiritual dimension to the
programme, Bishop Chanza delivered a powerful biblical message of encouragement
and led the gathering in prayer, offering comfort, strength, and reassurance to
the children and families present.
The food parcel handover reaffirmed EMF’s mission to support vulnerable communities through sustainable, compassionate, and collaborative interventions. Through its Community Outreach pillar, the Foundation continues to stand with child-headed homes, ensuring that no child feels forgotten or unsupported.
